National Oral Health Strategic Plan 2024–2030
Oral health is essential for overall well-being, enabling individuals to eat, speak, and socialize without pain, discomfort, or disease. The mouth, comprising teeth, muscles, tongue, soft tissues, and salivary glands, plays a crucial role in nourishment, immunity, and disease prevention. Poor oral health negatively impacts general health, productivity, and quality of life. Oral diseases, among the most common chronic conditions worldwide, pose a significant public health challenge, disproportionately affecting disadvantaged and vulnerable populations due to socioeconomic disparities.
