Dr Moeti tours health facilities in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region
Dr Moeti and her team visited the Shai Osudoku District in the Greater Accra Region. She first visited the District Health Directorate to interact with the District Health Management Team. The District Director made a presentation on the performance of the district. From there the team visited the Ayikuma CHPS to give Dr Moeti the opportunity to familiarize herself with service delivery at the lower levels.
The team continued to the Shai Osudoku District Hospital, a centre of excellence. Accompanied by the Deputy Regional Minister of Health, the Deputy Director General of the Ghana Health Service, the WHO Country Representative, Officials from WHO AFRO, the medical superintendent of the hospital and senior officials from Ghana Health Service among others, she toured some units and wards of the hospital, visited the pregnancy school to interact with some of the pregnant women, interacted with some of the health workers of the hospital and also addressed a staff durbar. Dr Moeti was very much impressed with the Facility and made some profound remarks:
