Polio eradication cross-border coordination plan 2024/2025: Lake Chad Basin and Sahel countries

Seven countries, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Mali, Niger and Nigeria, have developed a joint plan to stop polio spreading across their borders. As the virus spreads with transnational population movement, this 2024–2025 plan focuses on coordinated action and mechanisms across these countries to synchronize vaccination responses, reach mobile and border communities and enable data-sharing.
