Programa Nacional de Prevenção e Controlo do Cancro do Colo Úterino e da Mama
Maputo, 24 November 2009 -- Mozambique’s Minister of Health, Prof. Paulo Ivo Garrido, said on Tuesday in Maputo that pharmacy and medicines represent the most visible part of National Health Systems, because governments were exposed to social pressures either due to the lack of, or high prices of medicines, as well as counterfeit or low quality medicines in circulation.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Conference of National Medicine Regulators Prof. Garrido urged governments to make all necessary efforts to “speed up actions towards the harmonization of regulation procedures and control of medicines throughout the whole African Continent”.
